The bathroom and kitchen are one of the most dirty parts of the house. And you already know the maxim: it is not about cleaning more, but about dirtying less… In the meantime, we will tell you some very useful tricks to keep bacteria and grease at bay. Because sometimes skill is worth more than strength.

In the kitchen
Extractor hood
The plate or the gas
Oven
In the bathroom

In the kitchen
It is logical that grease tends to accumulate, especially if you are a cook: you will see it appear in the extractor hood, the tiles, etc… For tiles we recommend a specific product for this surface, in this case you have to know that there are quick-drying products that make the task easier. It will suffice to dilute a capful of the product in a liter of hot water and rub with a well-drained cloth.

For the countertop, it is best to use white cleaning stone, which is suitable for any type of material.

Extractor hood
It is one of the parts that accumulates the most fat. To clean it you can put water in a pot with a glass of baking soda. Activate the bell and leave it for about half an hour. Then clean it with a soft sponge, water and detergent. For the filters it is very good to put them in the dishwasher. If they won’t go in, put them in hot water with degreaser.

The plate or the gas
The hob, whether glass ceramic or induction, must be cleaned with specific products and it is advisable, if you want it to last, not to experiment with soda. Before applying them, remove the remains with a good scraper, an essential element if you have a kitchen of this type. If it is gas, remove the burners and put them in a bowl with warm vinegar. Wait an hour and then rub with a sponge, you will see that all the remains come out easily.

Oven
If you don’t want grease to accumulate, clean it after each use, yes, even if you’re lazy… If it’s very dirty, turn it on at 50 degrees, wait a while and then apply oven-cleaning foam. Close the door and let it act for about 20 minutes. Then, rinse with a sponge and water.

Some very basic routines so that the kitchen does not accumulate dirt is to clean it after each use. It is also convenient to put the extractor hood every time we cook, even if it is going to be five minutes. And a damp cloth on the furniture every day ends up noticing in maintenance.

In the bathroom
Limescale will be one of your enemies and the harder the water in your city, the more limescale in your toilets. You can remove it from taps with specific products for it. For the tiles you can use a cleaner with bioalcohol. After applying it, do not forget to dry them with a cloth. For the toilet you will have to use a descaling product.

If you have humidity problems and there is no window to the street (it is usual for bathrooms to be inside), you can try using a dehumidifier several times a day. If there is already mold on the walls you will have to use a fungicidal product.

In any case, to keep the bathroom clean, some very basic daily routines are worth it, such as wiping with a drying cloth every time you use the sink and removing drops from the screen after a shower. Also, pass the mop after each shower, eliminating any drops of water that may have fallen outside. At first glance it will seem cumbersome, but it makes tasks easier in the medium term.
